Information: I started out biking due to the development of shin splints while training for my 1st half marathon The Philadelphia ING. Back in July of 2009 I purchased my “Specialized” baby and it was love at first ride! Up until this purchase I was not a rider by any means. I could not imagine in my wildest dreams I would have liked it as much as I do. It is a different high from running. Riding is a great way to get more cardio in with less pressure on the joints. I have known Rob for many years now and when he suggested for me to join him and his buddies for a ride one day I thought why not? 30 miles was the first ride I did and I loved it! I cannot get enough. It is a struggle to choose between both cycling and running. Finding a balance was tough at first but I have found that balance along with a good resistance training program. Cross training is extremely important for a good all around workout to be beneficial. You cannot join a better group than “Team Hangover” and I say this because my fellow team mates are incredible. I am a slower cyclist than most at this early stage in my cycling career but they all take each and every one of us members into consideration at all times. They are a fun loving group and have such wonderful personalities. There is never a ride that takes place where we are not laughing and having fun as well as getting an awesome kick butt workout.
